Fastpoholmen releases 2 new singles on April 12, one in Swedish and one in Danish.

Fastpoholmen is excited to announce the release of two new singles: "Begäret" and "Det vendte til sidst." The singles represent two different, yet complementary musical expressions, and the sound has become more organic and dynamic.

"Begäret,"(Desire) a Swedish reggae track, delves into the eternal struggle between life's lustful and destructive forces. The helplessness in the face of temptations, and the weakness towards the deceitful innocence of temptations. The lyrics 'Snälla bara en sista gång. Jag lovar aldrig göra om' (Please, just one last time, I promise never to do it again) are the recurring refrain in the song.

"Det vendte til sidst" (It turned in the end) sung in Danish, heralds the arrival of spring, with its lengthy creaking intro almost serving as a meditative tribute to the rhythms and cycles of nature. Adam and Dawn's voices fill the head with the ambiance of a walk at dusk or dawn, where one spots the cranes dancing in the distant mist, still with a hint of winter's melancholy in the heart. The song is a precursor to a more form-free and playful release with the working title 'Kladdehæftet' expected to come out in the fall. Therefore, a little extra version of the song is also found on the single release, featuring a small interlude called 'Flette fingre' (Interlocking fingers).

"We have always found it difficult to commit to one fixed genre or even one fixed language to sing in," says Dawn Fastholm. "We hope that with these two new songs, there is something for those who want to dance, and for those who prefer our softer songs. And then there is also something for both the Swedes and the Danes."

Both singles will be released on April 12, 2024.
